What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Serve as primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Manage accounts by customizing interactions to customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain brand passion throughout the sales cycle with patient impact front and center.
Basic Qualifications — Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications — Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate’s degree + 6 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device; relevant specialty product/hospital sales experience; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
