What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and help them navigate the complex payer environment.
- Act as primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages; conducting planned programs; scheduling and following up on medical educational programs; achieving/exceeding sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Manage and service accounts by customizing discussions based on customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront.
Basic Qualifications — Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
Basic Qualifications — Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related) OR
- Associate’s degree and 6 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related) OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field (not sales-related).
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device; product/hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
