What You Will Do
- Primary connection to customers by providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helping them navigate the payer environment.
- Primary customer contact responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Lead sales to achieve territory sales via branded messages, planned programs, scheduling/follow-up of medical education, and meeting/exceeding sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Manage accounts by understanding customer needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales effectiveness/territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle and build the brand with patient impact in mind.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical, teamwork, accountability).
Basic Qualifications
Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales-related clinical experience OR Associate’s + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years product/hospital sales in pharma/biotech/med device; territory knowledge and established relationships; life sciences/business degree.
