What You Will Do
- Serve as the connection to customers by providing clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals and helping them navigate the payer environment.
- Act as the primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide current, comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Drive territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and achieving/exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage accounts; customize customer interactions based on needs; ensure product access; resolve/triage reimbursement issues; maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity/business effectiveness and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact front and center.
- Uphold science-based values and ethical conduct; collaborate, communicate, and remain accountable.

Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years of sales OR High school diploma/GED + 6 years of sales.

Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales/clinical (healthcare/scientific field not sales-related) OR Associate’s + 6 years sales/clinical OR High school/GED + 8 years sales/clinical.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical device; product/hospital sales in relevant specialties (oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Strong core competencies (planning/organizing, leveraging technical knowledge, communicating with impact, driving for results, cultivating internal/external relationships).
