What You Will Do
- Primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
- Provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals and help them navigate the payer environment.
- Provide current/comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages; conduct planned programs; schedule and follow up on medical educational programs; achieve/exceed sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
- Manage accounts by understanding customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales effectiveness/territory performance; develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical, quality, teamwork, accountability).
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associate’s degree and 4 years of Sales OR
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 6 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales and/or non-sales clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product or hospital sales in relevant therapeutic areas; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
