What You Will Do:
- Serve as primary customer contact; provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
- Act as a sales leader to achieve territory sales (branded messages, planned programs, medical education follow-up; in-person and virtual) and meet/exceed targets.
- Provide comprehensive product knowledge and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Develop/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory performance; develop territory plans with District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
- Sustain passion for products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact.
- Uphold values (science-based, ethical, quality, teamwork, accountability).
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR HS diploma/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative):
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field OR Associate’s degree + 6 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience OR HS diploma/GED + 8 years sales and/or non-sales clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; product/hospital sales in specified specialties (including cardiovascular) and relevant diseases/treatments.
- Local market knowledge; established territory relationships.
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
- Core competency adaptability (planning/organizing, technical knowledge, communicating with impact, driving results, cultivating relationships).
