What You Will Do
- Be primary customer contact by providing clinical knowledge to medical professionals and helping them navigate the payer environment.
- Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities
- Communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Deliver branded sales messages; conduct planned programs; schedule and follow up on medical educational programs; achieve/exceed territory sales targets (in-person and virtual).
- Manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales/territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain product passion throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact front and center.
- Uphold Amgen values (science-based, ethical conduct, teamwork, quality, accountability).
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s degree OR Associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR High school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative)
- Bachelor’s + 3 years sales and/or non-sales healthcare/scientific clinical experience OR Associate’s + 6 years OR High school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices; relevant specialty product/hospital sales experience; local market knowledge; established territory relationships; BS in Life Sciences/Business Admin; adaptability with core competencies.
