What You Will Do
- Provide clinical product knowledge to medical professionals and help them navigate the complex payer environment.
- Act as primary customer contact; implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products (as led by the District Manager).
Responsibilities:
- Provide current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization.
- Achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling/following up on medical educational programs, and meeting/exceeding sales targets in-person and virtually.
- Develop relationships to service/manage accounts: tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, resolve/triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy; analyze sales activity and territory performance; develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Share best practices and continuously learn/grow.
- Sustain passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand with patient impact at the forefront.

What We Expect Of You (Qualifications)
Basic Qualifications – Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree OR associate’s degree + 4 years sales OR high school/GED + 6 years sales.
Basic Qualifications – Senior Specialty Representative:
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales and/or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific field, not sales related) OR associate’s + 6 years OR high school/GED + 8 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales; product/hospital sales in relevant specialties (e.g., oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases).
- Local market knowledge; established relationships; Bachelor’s in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
