Role Summary
Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative for Bone Health in Fort Wayne, IN; territory includes Fort Wayne, New Haven, Roanoke, and Leo-Cedarville. The role serves as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and helping them navigate payer environments. You will implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen medicines under the guidance of the District Manager within your assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
- Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve or triage reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow in the role.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products and sustain that passion throughout the sales cycle, keeping patient impact at the forefront.

Qualifications
- Required: Specialty Representative — Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
- Required: Senior Specialty Representative — Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
- Preferred: Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry; product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases; and the diseases and treatments involved with these specialties.
- Preferred: Local market knowledge.
- Preferred: Established relationships in the territory.
- Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
