This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, deliver sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of all efforts and operating in accordance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.

Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; perform post-call evaluation to continuously improve. Handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Serve customer needs and build trusted relationships; achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan meeting call metrics; optimize coverage and frequency for key customers.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise; share intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s: 5+ years experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools; strategic/critical thinking.
- Preferred: Proven sales performance track record in therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency (as applicable).
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; maintain good standing.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
