Job Description (Field-based)
Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, drive sales performance, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, and build customer relationships to solve customer needs and maximize short- and long-term sales performance, while operating in compliance with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans, execute post-call evaluations, handle objections, and drive effective calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs to build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical expertise) to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition and identify/develop/maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of degree: 5+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry (3+ preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Leadership track record; solid presentation skills; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Adaptable selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success in therapeutic area; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare or marketing; deep scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge.
- Preferred: English proficiency (non-English countries).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
