Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to drive sales performance and manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets/marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve performance; handle objections and drive logical, reasonable calls to action to close.
- Build trusted customer relationships by proactively serving customer needs and expectations and achieving win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Continuously develop market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise) and share it with internal teams to align and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate the value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years pharmaceutical/health/science experience (3+ years preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven leadership success; solid presentation skills; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer behavior; effective in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales success within respective therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge and recognized as an expert resource.
- Preferred: English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry to assigned territory facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
