Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Psychiatry - Gainesville, FL. Field-based role responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the assigned territory to maximize short and long-term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of efforts while complying with all laws and AbbVie policies. Travel required within the territory.

What you will do

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
  • Create pre-call plans and post-call evaluations; handle objections and close calls effectively.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and develop trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements.
  • Develop and execute a call plan to optimize coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, and disease states to align with field and brand teams.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition, identify disease state experts, and maximize brand performance.
  • Drive personal or company vehicle use and operate equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience required
  • Equivalent industry experience: at least five (5) years overall, with three (3) or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required if no bachelor’s degree
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to adapt sales approaches to customer style; develops sales strategies from findings
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment and influence others; credible and collaborative
  • Proven leadership and ability to support increased responsibilities at district/region levels
  • Preferred: proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency
  • Must satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain access to facilities; good standing or eligible to obtain credentials
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and safe driving requirements
