Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships by solving customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and operating in compliance with AbbVie policies and laws.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive logical calls to action to close sales.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations; build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency.
- Understand customer and market dynamics (accounts, disease, products, clinical/sales expertise, competitors) and share intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- Equivalent experience: 5+ years (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Sales strategy capability; adapts to customer behavior; works effectively in a matrix.
- Preferred: Proven sales success; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing.
- English proficiency verbally and in writing (for non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements for facility access; valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening.
