Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short and long term sales performance placing the patient at the center of efforts.
Operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
Create pre-call plan objectives and post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
Develop and execute a call plan achieving set metrics to optimize coverage and frequency with key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease area, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize execution.
Differentiates AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identifies/develops disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
Equivalent experience: at least five years in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required
Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Adapts selling approach to customer style/behavior; uses findings to develop sales strategies; offers innovative ideas to maximize opportunities
Operates effectively in a matrix environment; credible, respected resource; builds collaborative partnerships
Leads by example; documented leadership experience at district/region/organizational levels
Preferred: Proven sales performance in respective therapeutic areas; pharma industry experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing
English proficiency (verbal and written) for all non-English speaking countries
Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities in the territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials
Possess valid driver’s license; able to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
