Field-based role (candidates should live within a reasonable distance of the primary city). Territory: Denver, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, and financial targets.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build strong customer relationships and customer needs-solving capability.
- Create pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call evaluation; handle objections and gain calls to action to close on sales calls.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical/sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years relevant industry experience; 3+ years within pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven leadership and presentation skills; strong business acumen; strategic and critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer style/behavior; effective in matrix environments.
- Preferred: success in sales performance within therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling/training/managed health care/marketing experience; in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; recognized expert.
- Preferred: English proficiency verbally and in writing (non-English speaking countries).
- Satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; valid driver’s license.
