Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center and complying with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plans; conduct post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and drive appropriate calls to action to close.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to meet call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease, product, clinical/sales expertise) to align teams and optimize execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business (preferred) or relevant/equivalent industry experience (required).
- If no bachelor’s degree: at least 5 years of industry experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science (preferred); high school diploma/GED required.
- Leadership success and presentation skills; business acumen; business tools proficiency; strategic and critical thinking.
- Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; effective in a matrix environment.

Preferred:
- Sales success in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Commercial pharmaceutical experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing).
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge.
- English proficiency (for non-English speaking countries).

Requirements:
- Satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in the assigned territory (including possible background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses); must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain credentials.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
