Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Migraine - Portland, OR. Field-based role focused on executing brand strategy and driving sales performance within a defined territory, placing the patient at the center of efforts and operating within company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
  • Create pre-call plans and post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and close on calls.
  • Proactively serve customer needs and build trusted relationships to achieve win-win agreements with customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan that optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, and disease/product knowledge with in-field and brand teams to optimize strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and develop disease state experts and advocates to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Equivalent industry experience: at least five years total, with three or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to adapt selling approach to customer style/behavior; proven selling and presentation skills; works well in a matrix environment
  • Leadership and collaboration experience; credible role model and coach; ability to take on increased responsibilities
  • Preferred: track record in sales within therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency
  • Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain credentials
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and meet safe driving requirements
