Field-based role; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field; manage assigned territory and targeted accounts.
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Plan and conduct calls; use pre-call objectives and post-call evaluations to improve performance; handle objections and close calls to action.
- Build trusted customer relationships; serve customer needs to achieve win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency for key customers.
- Build knowledge of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical expertise; share intelligence to optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate value proposition; identify/develop/maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: 5+ years industry experience (3+ years preferred) in pharmaceutical/health/science; high school diploma/GED required.
- In-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and use of business tools.
- Proven sales success and presentation skills; operates effectively in a matrix environment.
- Preferred: sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas; commercial experience (physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, marketing); English proficiency (where applicable).
- Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities; must hold a valid driver’s license.
