This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in field, sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short and long term sales performance while operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Create pre-call plan objectives; execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve performance; handle objections and close calls to action.
- Proactively serve customer needs/expectations/challenges; build trusted relationships and win-win agreements.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize customer coverage and frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, landscape, competitors, accounts, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) to align on strategy and anticipate changes.
- Differentiate the value proposition; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s: at least 5 years experience (3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred) and a high school diploma/GED.
- Ability to adapt selling approach based on customer behavior; strong business acumen and strategic/critical thinking.
- Preferred: proven sales success in therapeutic areas; physician/account-based selling, managed health care, or marketing experience; English proficiency for non-English countries.
- Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities; responsible for compliance (background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, licenses as required).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
