Role Summary

Specialty Representative, Migraine - Lake City, FL. Field-based role within a territory, focusing on executing brand strategy and tactics to maximize short and long-term sales performance while placing the patient at the center of efforts. Hires at a level commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
  • Create pre-call plans and evaluate post-call performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
  • Build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements with customers.
  • Develop and execute a call plan to optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
  • Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease state, product, and sales to align with in-field and brand teams and optimize strategy.
  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify disease state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience required.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of relevant industry experience with three (3) or more years in pharmaceutical/health/science preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
  • Proven leadership, strong presentation skills, business acumen, and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; ability to operate in a matrix environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
  • Ability to travel to cover territory and attend training events and meetings; ability to drive personal auto or company vehicle.
  • Preferred: Proven sales success in respective therapeutic area; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing.
  • Preferred: Deep scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource by stakeholders.
  • Preferred: English proficiency in speaking and writing (for non-English-speaking regions).
  • Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities and organizations in the territory; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses. AbbVie will provide support to answer questions.
