This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.

Responsibilities
- Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field to deliver sales performance and meet/exceed brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives.
- Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts; build trusted customer relationships and solve customer needs.
- Create pre-call plans, conduct post-call evaluations, handle objections, and close sales calls with logical, reasonable calls to action.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves call metrics and optimizes customer coverage/frequency.
- Build and share market intelligence (customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, disease/product/clinical and sales expertise) with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition and identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or equivalent industry experience required.
- If no bachelor’s: at least 5 years relevant experience; 3+ years in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
- Proven leadership success; strong presentation skills; business acumen; strategic/critical thinking.
- Ability to adapt selling approach to customer behaviors; effective in matrix environments.
- Preferred: sales success in therapeutic area; physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing experience.
- Preferred: in-depth scientific/therapeutic/product/competitive knowledge.
- Preferred: English proficiency (verbal/written) for non-English-speaking countries.
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements; maintain eligibility.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
