Role Summary
Specialty Representative, Dermatology – Jacksonville S, FL. Field-based role covering a defined geography including Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, Ocala, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Deltona and surrounding areas. You will execute brand strategy, manage the territory, and build strong customer relationships to maximize short- and long-term sales performance while delivering patient-centered outcomes in compliance with AbbVie policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; handle objections and close on sales calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment and optimize brand strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers; identify, develop and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field.
- Required: Relevant and equivalent industry experience; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry; high school diploma/GED required.
- Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; proficient with business tools; strategic and critical thinking; operates effectively in a matrix environment; offers innovative ideas to maximize business opportunities.
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills; proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approach; provides impactful ideas and responds to changes.
- Influences others and is viewed as a credible, respected resource among peers; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams; leads by example and coaches peers through change.
- Documented leadership and support of increased responsibility at district, region and/or organizational levels; leverages findings to develop sales strategies.
- Preferred: Proven track record of success in sales within respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing; English proficiency (verbal and written).
- HCIR credentialing requirements are essential to gain entry into facilities in the assigned territory; you must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials; credentialing may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting and state/city licenses.
