Role Summary
Specialty Dermatology Representative for Austin N, TX. This field-based role covers Round Rock, Temple, Killeen, Bryan, College Station and surrounding areas. You will execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales, manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, and build strong customer relationships. Your work centers the patient and you will operate within AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations to achieve short- and long-term sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives in order to meet or exceed those targets.
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance; effectively handle objections and close calls.
- Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves defined call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease states, products and sales expertise; share market intelligence with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop and maintain disease-state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma/GED; five (5) years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree; three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
- Required: Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen; proficient with business tools; strategic and critical thinking; operates effectively in a matrix environment; offers innovative ideas to maximize opportunities.
- Required: Proven track record of selling and strong presentation skills; ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach; provides impact and anticipates and responds to changes.
- Required: Influences others; credible and respected; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix team; leads by example and peers coaching.
- Required: Documented leadership and increased responsibility at district/region/organizational levels; uses findings to develop sales strategies.
- Preferred: Proven track record of sales success in respective therapeutic areas; pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.
- Required: Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities within the assigned territory; in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials (including background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting and licenses as applicable).
