Role Summary

The ACP Specialty Representative promotes a portfolio of prescription products for Central Precocious Puberty and hypothyroidism. Primary call points include pediatric endocrinologists and their support staff, such as nurses and procurement specialists, as well as select pediatricians in stand-alone practices or hospital-based endocrinology departments. The role covers a multi-state territory including the greater Nashville and Memphis areas, Knoxville, Johnson City (TN), and regions in Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Responsibilities

  • Cover a territory including the greater Nashville and Memphis, Knoxville, Johnson City (Tennessee), and some geography in Arkansas (Little Rock), Alabama (Huntsville), and Mississippi (Tupelo).
  • Develop relationships with current and revised/updated clinical call points as warranted to achieve identified franchise objectives.
  • Provide clinical messaging of product portfolio, consultative product service and support, coordinate and integrate product support logistics, as well as other internal personnel and resources to address expressed customer needs.
  • Establish strong business relationships with targeted customer base.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and competitive products/activities as it relates to Pediatric endocrine offices/clinics and Managed Care entities; share knowledge with Area/internal management and other ACP Account Managers.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion via new therapy starts.
  • Detail key promotional products as determined by Division; tailored information presented to respond to key customer needs and objections.
  • Execute promotional activities and trial placements for target products.
  • Provide education/in-service events for clinical staff for key promotional products as determined by Division.
  • Become and remain a technical expert on AbbVie and comparable competitive products; keep technical knowledge current via certification or self-study programs.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • 3–5 years of successful field sales experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales; proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
    • Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment; valid driver’s license; ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior medical, biomedical, pharmacy or nursing experience requiring demonstrated application of therapeutic classes to disease states.
    • Endocrinology sales experience (highly preferred), with secondary hospital-based specialty sales experience highly preferred.
    • Previous proven sales success; award winners preferred.

Education

  • BS/BA Degree (Required)
  • Preferred Education: Business Marketing, Science, or other Technical Disciplines (nursing or pharmacy)
