Role Summary

Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative to deliver on Amgen’s commitment to serve patients in Primary Care territories including The Villages, Leesburg, Wildwood, Lady Lake, and Groveland, FL. Responsible for providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals, promoting products, and navigating payer environments within the district.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
  • Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customize discussions based on customer needs, ensure product access, resolve reimbursement issues, and maintain product contracts.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze sales activities and territory performance, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and grow in the role.
  • Demonstrate passion for products and maintain brand focus throughout the sales cycle to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative): Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
  • Basic Qualifications (Senior Specialty Representative): Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related; OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related; OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales-related.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1–3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience (pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred); product or hospital sales experience in multiple therapeutic areas; strong communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills; hunter’s mindset; genuine passion for sales and patient outcomes; learning agility; resilience and adaptability; entrepreneurial spirit; long-term career interest in pharmaceutical sales; Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration; local market knowledge.
