Specialty District Manager is responsible for planning and implementing district sales plans and coaching for success, including building and leading the district sales team; providing support and coaching; establishing and managing relationships with key customers, professionals and internal stakeholders; and managing district business operations (policies/procedures, budgets, sales and account data, etc.). Leads and manages Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers promoting Takedaโs biotech products to medical professionals.
How you will contribute:
- Develops and implements market-based business strategies to achieve sales objectives and maximize exposure; builds business plans using data and account/market analysis.
- Evaluates business opportunities/strategies and recommends solutions to district sales challenges.
- Recruits, trains, and develops specialty sales representatives and account managers; coaches and creates a learning environment.
- Creates integrated teams (specialty account managers and sales reps) to achieve objectives.
- Implements sales and marketing programs supporting U.S. growth in the assigned district.
- Ensures team accountability for sales and Takeda objectives.
- Ensures compliance of selling activities with all State and Federal regulations.
- Provides strategic input to Marketing for ongoing marketing plan evolution.
- Builds relationships with local/regional/National Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Acts as liaison with internal business partners and other sales/marketing personnel.
- Works with Regional/National Account Managers to address managed market issues and maximize sales.
Required skills/qualifications:
- BS/BA.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in pharma/immunology/biologic/biotech or medical device industries (district, specialty account, marketing, and/or product management).
- Strategic business planning; adaptable to changing market conditions.
- Ability to coach, delegate, motivate, and provide timely feedback.
- Ability to analyze complex data to build actionable business plans.
- Strong verbal/written/presentation communication.
- Experience with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- MBA or Masterโs.
- Infusible or injectable product experience.
- Account-based sales experience (hospital/health system/infusion centers/large group practice).
- Immunology and Gastroenterology experience.
- Biological product launch experience.
Compensation and benefits (explicitly stated):
- U.S. base salary range: $176,000.00โ$242,000.00.
- Possible short-term and/or long-term incentives.
