The Specialty District Manager is responsible for planning and implementing district sales plans and coaching for success, including building and leading the district sales team; providing support and coaching; establishing and managing relationships with key customers/professionals and internal stakeholders; and managing district sales business operations (policies/procedures, budgets, sales/account data). Leads and manages a team of Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers promoting Takeda’s biotech products to medical professionals.

How you will contribute
- Develops and implements market-based business strategies and business plans to achieve sales objectives.
- Evaluates business opportunities and recommends solutions to business challenges.
- Recruits, trains, and develops Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers.
- Creates and supports integrated account teams to achieve sales objectives.
- Implements sales and marketing programs for U.S. growth in assigned district.
- Holds self and team accountable for achieving sales and Takeda objectives.
- Ensures compliance of selling activities with State and Federal regulations.
- Provides strategic input to Marketing for development/evolution of the marketing plan.
- Establishes relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Serves as liaison with internal business partners and other sales/marketing personnel.
- Works with Regional and National Account Managers on managed market issues to maximize sales.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- BS/BA bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in pharmaceutical/immunology/biologic-biotech/medical device (district, specialty account, marketing, and/or product management) or equivalent.
- Strategic planning; coaching/delegation/motivation; data analysis for actionable plans.
- Strong verbal/written/presentation skills.
- Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint experience.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.

Preferred
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- Infusible or injectable product experience.
- Account-based sales experience (hospitals/health systems/infusion centers/large group practice).
- Experience in Immunology and Gastroenterology.
- Biological product launch experience.

Compensation and Benefits (as stated)
- U.S. Base Salary Range: $176,000.00 - $242,000.00.
- Eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives; may participate in medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time/year; new hires may accrue up to 120 hours paid vacation.
