How you will contribute:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify the right customer stakeholders to present complex clinical and business information on products and services for Gastroenterology.
- Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate HCPs and link their needs back to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions to discuss patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth within a specific geography, coach stakeholders, and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Independently and collaboratively strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue learning and professional development in efficient sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business in accordance with regulations and policies; demonstrate high ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop and apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Experience executing local marketing strategies.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to changing market conditions.
- Knowledge of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Travel requirements:
- Ability to drive and/or fly to meetings/client sites; some overnight travel (25–50%).
Training requirements:
- Successful completion of mandatory product training (written and oral exams). Training period is non-exempt (overtime eligible) and later transitions to exempt status.
Compensation and benefits (as stated):
- U.S. hourly wage range: $63.51–$87.31.
- Potential eligibility for short-term incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being benefits, up to 80 hours sick time; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires).
