Specialty Business Manager (Gastroenterology Specialty Sales Team) โ Manhattan North, NY territory (includes Bronx and Queens).
How you will contribute:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify customer stakeholders for complex clinical and business product/service presentations (including Gastroenterologists and professional/patient groups).
- Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate HCPs and connect their needs to Takeda solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions to address patientsโ needs, execute brand strategies, maximize sales growth in a geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges independently and collaboratively.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue continuous learning and professional development (sales, communication, and product knowledge).
- Conduct business in accordance with regulations/policies; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorโs degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform/influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Local marketing strategy execution.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market changes.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driverโs License
Travel Requirements:
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; some overnight travel (25โ50%).
Training Requirements:
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams); training includes live instruction, independent study, role play (up to 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week).
Location: New York โ Virtual
Compensation/Benefits (if eligible): U.S. hourly wage range $63.51โ$87.31; potential short-term incentives and may include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
