Specialty Business Manager (Manhattan North, NY territory incl. Bronx & Queens) — Gastroenterology Specialty Sales Team

Responsibilities:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify customer stakeholders for complex product/service discussions.
- Use consultative selling to educate HCPs and connect insights to Takeda solutions.
- Lead clinical discussions on patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, and maximize sales growth within assigned geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate on routing and resource utilization to maximize territory performance.
- Independently and collaboratively address deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.
- Pursue learning/professional development in sales, communications, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business in line with all regulations, policies, and ethical/professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (e.g., budgets, managed markets, medical affairs).

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA); 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda; ability to discuss therapeutic strategies; ability to apply clinical/business expertise and selling skills; strong verbal/influencing/presentation and written communication; reside within or close to assigned geography.
- Preferred: 5+ years relevant selling experience; local marketing strategy execution; strategic planning; managed care understanding; collaboration; experience with injectable/infused IBD products; complex reimbursement experience; biological launch; calling on Gastroenterologists.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License

Travel: Drive/fly as needed; 25–50% overnight travel.

Training Requirements: Conditional on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams); training includes live instruction/independent study/role play (≤8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week). After passing exams, transition to exempt status.
