How you will contribute:
- Research prospective Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to identify the right customer stakeholders.
- Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate HCPs and link needs to Takeda’s solutions.
- Engage in clinical discussions to discuss patients’ needs, execute brand strategies, and maximize sales growth in a defined geography; coach stakeholders and build consensus.
- Collaborate with partners on routing and resource utilization to maximize footprint performance.
- Strategize to solve deal-level challenges.
- Attend company-sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed.
- Pursue learning and professional development on sales, communication, and product knowledge.
- Conduct business according to regulations/policies; maintain high ethical and professional standards.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office, etc.).
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience, OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to influence decision makers.
- Ability to develop/apply clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5 years relevant selling experience.
- Local execution of marketing strategies.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to market changes.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Collaboration/team success.
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience.
- Experience calling on Gastroenterologists.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to drive/fly; some overnight travel (25–50%).
Training Requirements:
- Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; eligibility for overtime/incentives varies during training; transition to exempt status after successful completion.
