OBJECTIVES:
- Drive demand for assigned products by reinforcing brand and Takeda value.
- Present Takeda products and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts specializing in IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).
- Use business processes that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support account onboarding, education, and procedures.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across a brand belief continuum.
- Provide clinical education and in-services for medical staff (e.g., infusion procedures).
- Coordinate clinical education programs for HCPs (e.g., peer-to-peer discussions).
- Manage accounts in smaller GI practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Attain territory sales goals and key metrics; execute brand/franchise strategy and tactics within assigned customer segment.
- Build relationships with HCPs and decision makers (physicians, nurses, etc.) to support appropriate product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies and leverage resources effectively.
- Present complex clinical and business information to gastroenterologists and relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments and business environment.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (financial/budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, home office resources).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Required:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical devices (5 years preferred) and/or relevant clinical/industry experience.
- Business/strategic planning skills; strong team collaboration.
- Understanding of managed care landscape.
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Live within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- Experience with injectable/infused IBD products.
- Experience managing complex reimbursement issues.
- Biological product launch experience; calling on gastroenterologists.
- Experience discussing therapeutic strategies; local marketing strategy execution.
- Minimum 5 years direct selling experience to HCPs.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
- Valid Driverβs License.
TRAVEL:
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; 25β50% overnight travel.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
