About the Role
- Drive demand for the assigned dermatology product following potential regulatory approval through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Develop and apply business processes that benefit patients and lead to achievement of sales goals.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and move customers along a brand educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical and patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer education).
- Manage accounts within dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Achieve sales goals and territory metrics; execute brand strategy and tactics within the assigned segment.
- Build relationships with HCP decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information and approved materials.
- Execute local marketing strategies to enhance business results and increase customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and professional/patient groups.
- Develop and implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease states and treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- BA/BS.
- Required: 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience); OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Dermatology/demonstrated experience calling on dermatologists (highly preferred).
- Strategic planning, managed care understanding, strong communication, collaboration, and reside within/near assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on dermatologists.
- Experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.
Training / License / Travel
- Pass mandatory product training with written/oral exams.
- Valid driverβs license.
- Ability to drive/fly to accounts; up to 25β50% overnight travel as needed.
