About the Role
- Drive demand after potential regulatory approval for the assigned product through education.
- Educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimize business opportunities in dermatology-targeted physician offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts.
- Specialty Business Manager (SBM) develops and applies business processes that benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers across an educational continuum.
- Provide initial clinical/patient access education for medical staff; coordinate clinical education opportunities (e.g., peer-to-peer).
- Perform account management in dermatology practices/clinics/outlets and independent physician offices.
- Attain sales goals and territory metrics; execute franchise/company brand strategy and tactics in the assigned segment.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Deliver targeted sales messages using accurate clinical information, approved materials, and medical reprints; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies, build customer engagement, and educate local decision makers.
- Present complex clinical/business information to dermatologists and other decision makers.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments/industry changes.
- Strategically manage allocated resources (budgets, managed markets, medical affairs, etc.).
- Follow compliance policies/training; seek clarification when uncertain.
Minimum requirements (Required)
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry) selling; OR 2+ years selling at Takeda.
- Dermatology experience highly preferred.
- Strategic planning/business judgment; understanding of managed care.
- Strong communication, influencing/presentation, and collaboration.
- Live within/near assigned geography.
Preferred
- 5+ years direct HCP selling experience.
- Experience calling on dermatologists.
- Experience with complex reimbursement issues.
Training & certifications
- Must pass mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
- Valid driverβs license.
Travel
- Ability to drive/fly; up to 25β50% overnight travel.
