About the Role:
The Dermatology sales force drives demand (post potential regulatory approval) through education, educating healthcare providers (HCPs) and optimizing business opportunities in Dermatology-focused physician offices, clinics, and hospital accounts. The Specialty Business Manager (SBM) applies business processes to benefit patients and achieve sales goals.
How you will contribute:
- Support account onboarding through education.
- Conduct clinical selling: deliver clinical value proposition and advance customers through an educational continuum.
- Support initial clinical/patient access education for medical staff.
- Coordinate clinical education (e.g., peer-to-peer) for HCPs.
- Manage accounts across Dermatology practices, clinics, and independent physician offices.
- Achieve territory sales goals/metrics by executing brand strategy and tactics.
- Build relationships with decision makers and stakeholders to support safe/effective product use.
- Develop and deliver targeted sales messages using approved materials; discuss therapeutic strategies.
- Execute local marketing strategies to build customer engagement.
- Present complex clinical and business information to Dermatologists and relevant groups.
- Develop/implement medical education and sponsor programs; stay current on disease/treatments.
- Strategically manage allocated resources.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS.
- 3+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device selling (or 2+ years selling at Takeda).
- Dermatologist/Dermatology calling experience highly preferred.
- Business/strategic planning, managed care understanding.
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration.
- Reside within or close to assigned geography.
Preferred:
- 5+ years direct selling to HCPs.
- Experience calling on Dermatologists; managing complex reimbursement issues.
Travel:
- Drive/fly to accounts; occasional overnight travel (25β50%).
Compensation & Benefits (U.S.):
- Estimated hourly wage range: $63.51β$87.31.
- May include short-term incentives and eligibility for medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability/life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time and up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
