Position Summary:
Senior Account Specialist (Specialty Respiratory) supporting specialist healthcare providers across an assigned U.S. territory. Deliver evidence-based clinical education, help customers navigate access and reimbursement, and build trusted professional relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist customers (pulmonologists, allergists, nurse specialists, practice managers).
- Deliver clear, evidence-based clinical education and support to specialist teams.
- Identify access, reimbursement and distribution needs and connect customers with the right support resources.
- Create and execute tailored account plans and tactics to improve patient access and service.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (market access, medical affairs, marketing).
- Follow compliance and ethical guidelines in all customer interactions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 12 years pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience (Senior); 5+ years may be considered at Specialist level.
- Valid driverโs license and willingness to drive.
- Ability to travel domestically, including occasional overnight stays up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience engaging specialty healthcare providers in respiratory/related therapeutic areas.
- Ability to communicate clinical evidence clearly to specialist audiences.
- Experience with specialty products (Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution channels).
- Familiarity working with payer reimbursement or market access teams.
- Background in biologics/rare disease/immunology/respiratory-pulmonology specialty sales.
- Experience selling into IDNs or hospital systems.
- Proven ability to develop account plans and track measurable outcomes.
- Comfortable in a primarily remote role with regular in-person/hybrid team activities.
Work Arrangement:
Primarily remote with hybrid expectations; must live within or near the assigned territory and travel regularly to customer sites. Occasional overnight travel up to 30% may be required.
