Role Summary
Specialty Account Specialist, Immunology - Maryland/D.C. location supporting specialist customers for a GSK biologic product in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. Travel domestically as necessary, up to 30% in some territories. You will lead key activities, drive career growth, and perform impact-driven work within a compliance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide Scientific Knowledge, Business Acumen, and Customer Engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product.
- Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices, within GSK guidelines and values.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
- Provide product educational programs/in-services to customers.
- Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values.
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
- Develop and implement strategies specific to each customer within an account (e.g., Rheumatologists, Nephrologists, nurses, mid-levels, business/office managers).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers (Market Access), Medical (MSLs), and other functions within GSK.
- Effectively manage allocated resources.
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customers' requests, inquiries and needs.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which in some territories may include overnight travel up to 30%
- Required: Valid driverโs license
- Required: Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle โ driving is an essential function of this role.
- Required: The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience
- Required: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8): 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
- Required: Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7): 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience.
- Preferred: Specialty Products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution.
- Preferred: Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
- Preferred: Biologic/Rare Disease/Immunology Sales experience
