Role Summary

Specialty Account Manager to execute commercial activities for the assigned geography and establish relationships with customers to drive demand for Sunosi (solriamfetol) in approved patients. The role is field-based, requiring access to customers in clinic or hospital settings and engagement through digital channels.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in both virtual and live customer engagements.
  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual goals.
  • Promote Sunosi within approved labeling in a compliant and ethical manner.
  • Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs.
  • Serve as a resource to customers and staff regarding payer policies and processes (eligibility/benefit verification, prior-authorization, appeals/denials).
  • Maximize use of marketing resources to grow customer confidence to prescribe Axsome medications.
  • Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management.
  • Provide feedback to sales, leadership, marketing, and internal departments about environment and results.
  • Complete training and administrative duties accurately and timely.
  • Manage efforts within the assigned promotional budget.
  • Collaborate across all corporate functions.
  • Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
  • Ensure timely access for patients through patient services and savings programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of field customer experience and/or account management.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering outstanding results.
  • Minimum of 3 years Healthcare Professional experience with relevant CNS/Psychiatry experience.
  • Previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with at least five years in specialty sales preferred.
  • CNS/Psychiatry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Launch experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience strategizing within cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines.
  • Comfort with uncertainty and high expectations.
  • Patient support services experience a plus.
  • Strong digital marketing aptitude.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Frequent driving; extended periods behind the wheel.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing in daily job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Overhead reaching to close and secure equipment.
