Role Summary

Specialty Account Manager, Referral KRYSTEXXA - Seattle (Rare Disease). Territory covers Seattle, WA. Represent Amgen's Rare Disease products to Primary Care/FP/GP/IM, Podiatry, and Orthopedic physicians and healthcare professionals; drive Biotech/Infusion product sales; increase referrals to Rheumatology and Nephrology; manage territory accounts; collaborate with Rheumatology and Nephrology teams to identify referral patients; build territory plans; promote disease state awareness and patient referral opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with 2-3 Specialty Account Managers in Rheumatology and Nephrology sales to identify referral patients in Podiatry, Primary Care, and Orthopedics near KRYSTEXXA advocates.
  • Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed annual sales goals.
  • Promote disease state awareness and value of the product to target customers.
  • Identify appropriate patient types for referral to treatment.
  • Regularly communicate progress with SAM/ASD.
  • Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a compliant and ethical manner.
  • Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and communicating them to the team.
  • Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
  • Accurately and timely communicate territory activity as directed; provide feedback on environment and results to internal teams.
  • Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines (e.g., PhRMA code).
  • Complete all training classes; perform administrative duties accurately and timely.
  • Manage efforts within promotional and operational budgets; maximize use of approved resources to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate across divisions within the GBU to achieve objectives; attend medical congresses/meetings as needed; perform other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales; or
  • Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience in the same sectors; or
  • High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience in the same sectors.
  • Preferred: buy and bill experience; biologic/biotech sales and reimbursement experience; established relationships in primary care, podiatry, and/or orthopedic markets; rheumatology and nephrology experience; strong teamwork with Commercial Operations; strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills; 30% travel with some overnight/weekend commitments; proficient in Microsoft Office; professional demeanor; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
