Specialty Account Manager - Rare Disease

Responsibilities
- Represent TEPEZZA to physicians and healthcare professionals; establish product sales and perform total territory account management.
- Provide account management support to accounts within a specific geography with focus on account-specific issues.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve/exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote TEPEZZA within approved labeling in a fair and ethical manner consistent with legal/regulatory guidelines.
- Address access, pull-through, and reimbursement by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix team members.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs/goals and communicating them to internal teams.
- Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management.
- Drive product demand through education on disease state and product information.
- Provide feedback on changing environment/results to sales/business leadership and internal departments.
- Adhere to company compliance policies and applicable guidelines (including PhRMA code).
- Coordinate between accounts and relevant Amgen field teams to support account needs.
- Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site of care options.
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
- Manage efforts within assigned promotional and operational budget; maximize use of approved resources.
- Complete company training classes and administrative duties accurately and timely.

Qualifications
- Account Manager (Level 4): Bachelor’s + 3 years sales in pharma/biotech/medical devices or hospital sales; OR Associate + 6 years; OR High school/GED + 8 years.
- Specialty Account Manager (Level 5): Doctorate + 2 years collective account management/sales/commercial; OR Master’s + 6 years; OR Bachelor’s + 8 years; OR Associate + 10 years.

Preferred Qualifications
- Reimbursement navigation, site of care education, and/or patient access coordination.
- Experience promoting products requiring coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services.
- Experience with or in Rheumatology and Nephrology.
- Familiarity with Tavneos (infused therapies, buy-and-bill, medical benefit products).
- Experience engaging administrators (community practices, academic centers, IDNs, hospital systems).
- Matrix collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Market Access, Patient Services, MSLs, Nurse Educators, TLLs, Field Reimbursement).
- Knowledge of payer policies/reimbursement/managed markets; negotiating access/navigating formulary pathways.
- Strong communication and relationship-building; self-motivated and adaptable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools.
- Travel up to ~80% (including occasional overnight/weekend).
