Responsibilities:
- Optimize movement of GMP and non-GMP materials across the AbbVie global network (internal sites, CMOs, contract testing labs, and external logistics partners, incl. 3rd-party warehousing).
- Coordinate daily logistics movement of antibodies, intermediates, drug substance/product, and packed finished goods with supplying plants.
- Partner with Global Trade Compliance (GTC) on international import/export.
- Schedule pick-up/delivery and track shipments throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and timing requirements (e.g., CMOs, internal CMC stakeholders).
- Ensure GXP compliance during transferal logistics; store/retain paper and electronic records per quality system requirements.
- Review and approve GXP-controlled shipment documents.
- Set up and retrieve temperature data for cold-chain shipments and share per SOPs.
- Review inventory transactions for accuracy; advise/escalate issues impacting logistics timing/process.
- Perform work in compliance with FDA, DOT, USDA, ISO, CLIA, and other QMS requirements.
- Support continuous improvement in Supply Chain logistics.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains (logistics) and global import/export requirements.
- 3+ years pharmaceutical industry experience (transportation/logistics preferred).
- Bachelorβs degree in supply chain, operations management, or related scientific/pharmaceutical field.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Fast-paced, tight-timeline capability; strong verbal/written communication; interpersonal/organizational/quick-thinking.
- MS Office experience.
- Collaborative work style.
- Knowledge of cGDP for transport of biological materials and hazardous goods.
