Software Quality Engineering Manager

Role: Lead and develop the Software Quality Engineering team to ensure high-quality, compliant, and reliable software for Agilent's analytical instruments. Responsibilities: oversee software testing, automation, risk management, and defect resolution; partner with development, product management, and regulatory teams to define quality strategies; promote modern quality practices including automation and continuous improvement; ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory standards like FDA 21CFR Part 11 and ISO9001; coach team members and build organizational capability. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Software Engineering, or related; 1+ years leadership experience; strong knowledge of chromatography/mass spectrometry software ecosystems; familiarity with regulated software development standards and methodologies like Agile and CI/CD; excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include managing distributed teams, experience with third-party vendors, and understanding customer workflows in analytical labs. High-value: software development/support for chromatography and LC/MS acquisition platforms, regulated environment, quality/compliance focus, global and cross-functional collaboration. Work setup: full-time, day shift, occasional travel, based in Santa Clara/Waldbronn.
