Site MS&T Head SMO - Drug Substance

Role: Associate Director - Site MS&T Head for Small Molecule Drug Substance, leading manufacturing science and technology at a global pharmaceutical site. Responsibilities include setting technical strategy, overseeing product lifecycle stewardship, process optimization, validation, technology transfers, and compliance. The role emphasizes fostering manufacturing excellence, driving continuous improvement, and talent development to support future growth and product launches. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; at least 10 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with experience in small molecule APIs or drug substances highly preferred. Proven leadership in technical teams, knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and applied statistics are essential. Desirable experience includes formulation, process development, and working across multiple health authorities. The role reports to senior management and collaborates with global teams.
