Role Summary

Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, supervises shipping and receiving operators to ship, receive, stage and store medical products in a timely manner with safety and quality in mind, following GMP guidelines. Responsibilities include hiring/training, coaching and development, payroll management, scheduling, performance reviews, budgeting, inventory control, quality audits, process improvements, minor maintenance, and supporting corporate trucking operations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of operators, clerical staff, quality auditors and mechanics throughout the shift
  • Train employees on SOPs pertinent to their work
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of shipping and receiving documents
  • Oversee safe work practices of all personnel in the warehouse
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Perform periodic inspections to ensure the quality of all receipts and shipments
  • Participate in budgeting and inventory analysis/control
  • Support quality audits and improve departmental efficiencies
  • Perform minor machine maintenance as needed
  • Support corporate trucking operations
  • Hiring and training new staff; motivation and development through coaching and corrective actions up to termination
  • Payroll management, employee scheduling, and performance reviews

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Basic reading and math skills
  • Required: 3–5 years as a shipping & receiving/warehouse supervisor
  • Required: Willing to work shifts, including weekends/overtime as required
  • Required: Oversee safe work practices in warehouse
  • Required: Maintain a clean work environment
  • Required: Perform periodic inspections for receipts and shipments
  • Required: Direct activities of operators, clerical staff, quality auditors and mechanics
  • Required: Train employees on SOPs
  • Required: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of shipping & receiving documents
