Position Details
The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports the shipping department in the shipment and receipt of products and supplies, including labeling, addressing, verifying, and recording items into the JDE System, and arranging transportation. Assists with facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
- Print and prepare labels/postage and supporting documentation for shipping; secure labels and tamper-proof bottles.
- Maintain authorization and be trained for shipping hazardous materials.
- Verify and utilize carriers with lowest shipping cost; maintain accurate shipping records in computer programs.
- Package, prepare, load, and unload supplies and product.
- Deliver/route materials to proper departments using company truck, forklift, or carts; match items to packing lists and purchase orders; enter items into JDE.
- Assist with cooler inventory by organizing and maintaining shelf-life rotation and available storage containers.

Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with shipping methods, documentation needs, and costs; manage shipment schedules.
- Contact carrier representatives for shipping/delivery arrangements.
- Verify shipment contents and compliance with USDA shipping/receiving regulations.
- Resolve shipment issues (damages, shortages, nonconformance).
- Record shipment data (e.g., weight, charges, damages, discrepancies) for recordkeeping/ship confirms in JDE.
- Examine documents (work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders) to route materials.
- Keep cooler/shipping areas clean and safe; keep ice packs stocked.
- Assist with facility maintenance/emergencies (may require weekends/nights). Other duties as assigned.

Required
- Ability/willingness to work in a cold storage room for extended periods.
- Valid driverโ€™s license and forklift certified.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years of shipping and receiving experience.

Skills/Competencies
- Teamwork, safety-focused training completion, concentration in busy environments, acceptable attendance.
- Ability to use hand tools; safely operate forklifts and front-end loaders.
- Knowledge of administrative/clerical procedures; Excel/Word; clerical systems and record management.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Office/warehouse/cold storage room; lifting up to 70 lbs; frequent climbing/walking/standing; cold storage work required.

Work Schedule
- Mondayโ€“Friday (standard work hours).
