Senior Vendor Laboratory Manager Clinical Laboratory & Biospecimen Management

Role: Senior Vendor Laboratory Manager (SVLM) within BioMarin's Clinical Laboratory & Biospecimen Management (CLBM), leading complex laboratory and biospecimen programs to ensure high-quality, compliant delivery across clinical development. Responsibilities: oversee study start-up, maintenance, and close-out; manage high-risk vendor relationships; serve as scientific subject matter expert on assay use, biospecimen governance, and regulatory compliance; resolve operational, quality, and compliance issues; lead risk mitigation and inspection readiness; drive vendor strategy, financial oversight, and operational improvements; mentor and develop team members; participate in cross-functional initiatives. Requirements: PhD with 5+ years, or Master’s with 8+ years, or Bachelor’s with 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical or laboratory settings, including biomarker and biospecimen management; PMP certification preferred. High-Value: extensive knowledge of clinical drug development, biospecimen lifecycle, assay and biomarker workflows, ICH GCP, GLP, IVDR, GDPR, and regulatory standards; experience managing global vendors, complex protocols, and cross-functional teams; leadership in operational excellence, risk management, and strategic planning.
