Senior Training Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage training programs and training management systems.
- Onboard new hires across site departments; train less experienced subject matter experts (SMEs) and ensure operating conditions stay within the desired range.
- Set the example for safety, quality, environmental, operational, and personnel expectations; enforce relevant policies and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Exercise job knowledge to independently perform responsibilities; learn new site technologies and train Technical Trainer; drive strategies to correct training program deficiencies.
- Facilitate onboarding by ensuring compliance with learning management systems (e.g., LERN, ComplianceWire) and other Operations training requirements; enhance onboarding content across departments.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to improve training delivery/effectiveness; evaluate and apply new training technologies (e.g., augmented reality, virtual reality, training videos).
- Develop and deliver training tools/modules including Job Skills Training Modules (JSTM), job aids, computer-based training, videos, instructor-led trainings, AI training, and augmented reality training.
- Recommend and lead improvements to site processes and procedures; coordinate problem-solving where training can improve outcomes (e.g., via CAPA/NCR processes).
- Coordinate development and facilitation of training to improve production efficiency and reduce human error.
- Partner with Value Stream Leaders to develop, maintain, audit, and verify Basic Operating Procedures (BOPs), Training JSTMs, and training programs.
- Administer onboarding programs by department (e.g., GMP, packaging, manufacturing, validation, engineering, quality, maintenance, housekeeping, project management); support developmental training programs and training plans.
- Lead site-level Train-the-Trainer classes; manage feedback between students and SME trainers; continuously improve Train-the-Trainer program.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a technical field or education, or at least 5 years of experience in training facilitation and content development.
- Strong operating knowledge of complex equipment and the ability to monitor manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of basic computer programs; manufacturing monitoring systems and inventory management systems.
- Technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in a chemical, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar environment (preferred).
- General computer knowledge (e.g., Microsoft Office, email); proficient use of manufacturing monitoring systems to track and trend process-critical data (e.g., ComplianceWire).
- Good problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated compliance with local and industry quality and safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with top and mid-level management.
