Senior Therapeutic Specialist (Hartford, CT)

Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and engage healthcare providers across various touchpoints.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan; monitor sales progress and adjust strategies to meet/exceed targets.
- Maintain deep understanding of Gilead products, competitive products, and disease state complexities.
- Promote appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Partner with local cross-functional colleagues to ensure seamless customer experience (access, acquisition, administration, operational support).
- Collaborate externally with healthcare organizations and partner companies (including co-promotion) to enhance product reach and drive sales.
- Model and uphold compliance standards and ethical behavior; ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and company policies, including timely adverse event reporting.
- Use influencing/relationship skills to drive sales outcomes; build long-term partnerships with healthcare providers.
- Complete required administrative tasks (call activity/customer information in designated systems, expenses, territory budget).
- Continuously learn and retain technical/scientific product information and stay updated on industry and therapeutic area changes.
- Work autonomously to surpass personal goals and exceed performance standards; experience selling a Buy and Bill product with proven success.

- Sales acumen; proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets in a competitive pharmaceutical environment.
- Technical/scientific proficiency in the therapeutic area (disease states, treatment protocols, competitive landscape).
- Cultural awareness and empathy; comfort engaging in conversations in the sexual health space.
- Ability to lead in a cross-functional matrix environment and collaborate with local cross-functional teams.
- Strong internal/external partnership-building skills.
- Leadership and ethical conduct; autonomy/initiative; patient-centric focus.
- Account management expertise; ability to manage a multiple-product portfolio.

Basic Qualifications (Education/Experience)
- High school + 11 years’ experience; OR Associate degree + 9 years; OR Bachelor’s + 7 years; OR Master’s + 5 years.
- Ability to travel as required within the assigned area.
- Ability to meet onsite visitation requirements for healthcare practitioners, if applicable.
- Ability to perform essential duties; reasonable accommodation as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications
- BA or BS degree.
- Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare industry sales experience.
- Superior selling skills in highly competitive markets.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Experience collaborating with account-focused cross-functional local teams.
- Experience selling injectable physician-administered products.
- Familiarity with the managed care landscape and its impact on business.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- Salary range: $133,195.00 - $172,370.00; may be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package including company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
