Role Summary
Senior Therapeutic Specialist located in Eugene, OR, representing Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base. Focused on generating and growing sales within a specific geographic area through comprehensive account management, in-person engagement with healthcare practices, and strategic partnerships. Requires the ability to distill complex clinical concepts into clear messages for diverse audiences and to build strong relationships with healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Account Management & Sales Strategy: Build relationships with healthcare providers, develop and execute a territory business plan, and monitor sales progress to meet or exceed targets.
- Product & Disease State Expertise: Maintain deep product and disease-state knowledge and promote appropriate product use in line with guidelines.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Partner with local cross-functional colleagues and external organizations to ensure seamless access, administration, and coordination of activities; support co-promotion efforts where applicable.
- Leadership & Compliance: Model ethical behavior, ensure adherence to regulations and company policies, and report adverse events as required.
- Customer Engagement & Reporting: Use advanced influencing and relationship skills to drive outcomes; maintain relationships and perform administrative tasks including reporting activities and managing the territory budget.
- Continuous Learning & Development: Stay current on technical and scientific product information and industry trends; pursue autonomous performance improvement.

Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma and 11 years of experience; OR Associate's degree and 9 years; OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years; OR Master's degree and 5 years.
- Ability to travel within the assigned area as required, and meet any onsite visitation or accreditation requirements for healthcare practitioners.
- Valid driver's license.
- Preferred: BA or BS degree; minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare industry sales experience; proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives; experience selling injectable physician-administered products; familiarity with managed care and its impact on business.
